Jaden Smith plays Dre Parker, he’s a boy that won’t give anything up. Dre and his mom moved from Detroit to China. Dre feels so lost and confused like he cant fit in. Having to go to a different school where you don’t know anyone can be hard at his age. Dre was teased and beaten by some of his school members but his apartment building handyman came to help him. His name is Mr. Chan played by Jackie Chan. Dre asks Mr. Chan if he can help him learn how to defend himself and agreed to it. Dre went threw a lot of difficult times when training, and for the student and teacher trust one another. Mr. Chan wanted to teach Dre martial arts correctly. The Karate Kid.
This looks like an amazing movie. I haven't seen it yet, and i need to. I like how the trailers show the little boy at first how he was when he just moved to China and then after he masters karate. This looks like a very powerful movie. You should talk about your favorite scene.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the trailer it looked awesome with all the new special effects that they can apply to it. This would make it much different from the original. However I did see it and it was kind of disappointing. The story line was a little different but not much. Also there was way too much, in my opinion, cheesy lines and scenes. I much preferred the original Karate Kid over this one. I guess Jackie Chan is desperate for another fighting movie…
