I saw this movie about a week ago and I found it extremely funny. It’s about a group of friends who were on the basketball team at school. When they were young there idol was their coach. The kids wanted to win their championship game for him. It would be his coach's first championships win. They played their hardest and won. Thirty years later the five friends received a call saying that their coach had passed away. That Friday they all reunited and spoke at the funeral. After the funeral everybody was going to spend the weekend at lenny's (Adam Sandler) vacation house. The five guys bring their family along to catch up in each other’s lives and to show their children how to really have fun other than watching TV or texting. But something unexpected happened, they saw they team that they beat thirty years ago and they wanted a rematch. My favorite thing about this movie is that everyone in this movie says hilarious comebacks to one another. They would say insult after insult and it wouldn’t bother them. I have been watching the commercials for this movie for so long and it looks and sounds pretty good. The story seems really relatable to dads who were childhood friends but then the events would be blown out of proportion. Also anything with Kevin James, from one of my favorite shows King of Queens, is something I'll definitely watch.
ReplyDeleteI have also seen a countless amount of commercials for this movie. I think that it looks like a great movie! Adam Sandler is a really good/entertaining actor. I think that the story line for this movie is very unique. Its not your typical love story of horror film. Its something that would really give you a good laugh!
ReplyDeleteI think that having Adam Sandler in this movie was awesome. He's an amazing actor and this movie was hilarious. I can watch it over and over again without ever getting sick of it. After watching it, I kept repeating the lines from it.
ReplyDeleteI have heard a few things about this movie; one it’s quite funny, the other is that is so filled with great actors that you just can’t hate it. That’s all I got to say about this one. Now I want to hear your comments on a move that’s on air right now and that’s “due date” I heard it’s extremely funny but before I waist my ten dollars in Cinemark I want another opinion.
ReplyDeleteWow! This looks like it has great potential. I would think that it would have to be fairly good becaue it did very well over the summer. I hope to see it soon, seeing asthough my family saw it without me when I was away working in Canada and they said it was great! Hopefully they were right, and it sounds by your movie review on "Grown Ups" that it was great. Also I heard there is some good Canadian humor. Not only that but also both Kevin James and Adam Sandler are in it who are 2 of my favorite comedians. Aditionally I love insulting humor so it should be halarious! Great Post! Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to watch this movie since summer. When I first saw the previews I was so pumped to go watch it, but unfortunately I never got the chance to. Now that I have read your post, I am so pumped again to go watch it. I think the actors are great, Adam Sandler is in it, which I find to be a hilarious man, and also that man from "The king of Queens." I've never really seen a movie with him in it, but I watch the show very often, and I know that's a funny man, so I definitely think that it is a great movie.
ReplyDeleteI love movies where grown ups act little kids, and they don't give a crap about anything, and I think that's what this movie is about. Once again, thanks for the post, and I am definitely going to get that movie this weekend!!!!
